In My Desk

Posted by: | May 9, 2012 | No Comment |

I found in my desk,
A cat, a bat, and a hat that was fat.
I also found in my desk
A fish that was flat on a dish.
What else can I find?
I do not know!

Making a Snow Cat

Posted by: | May 9, 2012 | No Comment |

Madison forgot to make a snow cat with us, so when Mom came home at night, she helped us. Mom, Camden, Sawyer, and I made it. We made it at 8:30 p.m. at night. We saw bats and bugs and some birds. We heard bugs and bats. We felt the wind and snow. We smelled the snow. First, we made the body, then we made the head, then the feet, then the tail, next the eyes, and then the mouth. It was fun making a snow cat.

Spring

The grass is green.
It is like a line.
The grass is saying,
“Spring is here!
Spring is here!”
The sky is bright blue.
The sun is warm.
The lake is singing with the wind.
The wind is whispering to the grass.
The grass is singing,
“Glory to God! Glory to God!”
The world will say to God,
“Make all the days like this day!”

Letter to Lewis and Clark

Posted by: | May 6, 2012 | No Comment |

Dear Lewis and Clark,

Did you have fun on your adventure? Were you happy when you reached the Pacific Ocean? I think you were! I hope you and your dog had fun.

If I could go on a great exploration, I would want to go to the rainforest. I would see many kinds of birds like parrots. I would need to be careful of the dangerous animals. I do not know what types of plants that are there yet, but I will soon!

Have a good day.

Your friend,
Pre

Mid Vermont’s Psalm of Praise

Posted by: | December 21, 2011 | No Comment |

A Mid Vermont

Psalm of Praise

written by all

of the preschoolers

through sixth graders,

along with many teachers

and parents

God is like a strong wind,

Powerful and mighty.

God is like a soft wind,

Gentle and refreshing.

God is like an eraser,

for he erases all our sins.

God is like the full moon

because He is big and bright

and directs us

through dark places.

Jesus is like stairs

because He leads us to God

from earth to Heaven.

God is a turtle shell

because He is a strong protector

and He shelters us from harm.

God is a shade

by the way He protects us

from the world

and shades us

from those who may tempt us.

God wrote His love letter to us

with a permanent marker

so that it will never go away

and it won’t come off our hearts.

God is as creative as a potter making pots.

God is the Light of the world

because He lights our path

and leads us

while we are following Him.

I am bumpy.

I tickle the sky.

I have colorful leaves.

I am the buckthorn.

The Snowy Day!

Posted by: | December 21, 2011 | No Comment |

The snow is fun like summer.

It is cold, but I like it still.

It is fluffy like my cat.

Snow is like my best friend.

I was happy when I got to go out

In the first snowfall!

It was fluffy.

When I saw it,

I went outside to play.

It is crunchy like chips.

I love snow like I love God!
